Sometimes you get unexpected errors in the programs. Storegate support will then need the log file to investigate this error. The log files can normally be created directly from the programs and then sent to us.
The log files can also be read in plain text at the following location: %localappdata%\storegate
The log file can give indications of what is wrong, 9 times out of 10 it is a file containing special characters that cannot be handled by Windows but which have found their way onto the machine. Common causes are if you are working with files via different platforms such as PC and Mac or if you have downloaded files from the internet.
