Data management and privacy in Microsoft Office Online Web Apps

When you open an Office document in Office Online Web Apps via the web interface, you are redirected to Microsoft. It works in the same way as when using Office 365 online with the difference that the file is stored in our Swedish cloud instead of at Microsoft. While you have the document open and when it is saved, the data is processed by Microsoft. We have made the Office Online feature optional for those who do not want the data to be handled by Microsoft when editing Office Files. You can turn off the Office Online feature in your account settings.
